A Most Satisfactory Transaction
Mrs. Eleanor P. Whitmore, Hartford — March 23, 2026
Dear Editor, I write to express my sincere satisfaction with a recent transaction arranged through your classifieds section. Having advertised my late husband's pocket watch collection, I received no fewer than twelve earnest inquiries within the first week. The gentleman who ultimately purchased the collection was most courteous and fair in his dealings. Your publication performs a valuable service to this community, and I shall recommend it to all my acquaintances.

Regarding the Typesetter Advertisement
J.H. Brennan, Printer's Union Local 6 — March 22, 2026
Dear Editor, I noticed with interest the advertisement for an experienced typesetter in your latest edition. While I commend the advertiser for seeking qualified craftsmen, I wish to note that the Union maintains a register of available typesetters who meet the highest professional standards. Employers would do well to inquire with us directly. We can furnish references and guarantee the competence of our members.
The Lost Watch — A Happy Ending
H.W. Bartholomew, Park Place — March 21, 2026
Dear Editor, I am most pleased to report that, thanks to your classifieds, my gold pocket watch has been returned to me! A most honest young clerk found it near the ferry landing and, seeing my advertisement the very next morning, brought it round to my office. Faith in the goodness of one's fellow citizens is thus restored. My gratitude to your publication and to the honest finder knows no bounds.
